In Noord-Frankrijk besloot Vincent van Gogh dat hij schilder zou worden

In maart 1880 verliet een jonge Vincent Van Gogh de Borinage en trok hij te voet naar het Noord-Franse Courrières, om er de schilder Jules Breton te ontmoeten. Bij zijn terugkeer wist hij dat hij kunstschilder zou worden. Voor zijn boek Je marche sur le chemin de Vincent van Gogh (In het voetspoor
